See how a large US issuer incorporated authentication data into their authorization flow with Visa’s Intelligent Data Exchange (Visa’s IDX), resulting in more authorizations and less fraud and false positives.
In this case study, the issuer used Visa’s IDX (consisting of Device IP address, Device ID velocity, consumer IP velocity, and VCAS Risk Score), plus Field 126.20, another Visa exclusive, in authorization. Field 126.20 shares the authentication method used for that transaction (e.g., risk-based authentication or a successful challenge), so the issuer can use that information when evaluating transaction risk in authorization. In tandem, these authentication data provide valuable insights for authorization.
