The world has changed so much since the year began, but one thing we knew without a doubt was that we wanted to continue our annual internship program. Cardinal’s internship program has been an integral part of our culture for years, and we knew we could adapt it and make it work, just as the world has in our ever-changing circumstances.
This year, for the first time, our internship program will begin virtually. We’ll share what we do with the up and coming superstars of the next generation even if we aren’t physically in the same space.
We’re thrilled to bring on qualified young candidates, who will be learning from the teams in Software Development, Global Customer Service (GCS), Marketing and Global Product.
Beginning June 8th, each intern will virtually go through all the steps of the “normal” program as if we were in the office. During the first week of “internship Immersion,” the interns are exposed to all aspects of our Cardinal business and the payments space – what it is, and what we do, and all about authentication. The interns will virtually network with our executive team and spend time together getting acclimated to our culture. They will join virtual morning coffee breaks and lunches to get a feel for how Cardinal operates and begin to understand our philosophy and mission as an organization. After the first week, they will concentrate on working with their individual teams and learn about the exciting projects they will work on throughout the summer. During their first lunch with their teams, they are even getting their very own pizza delivered, contactless, of course!
The goal of the CardinalCommerce internship program is to give each intern a well-rounded overall experience and prepare them for their futures. As an intern, they are one of us. They work, network, contribute and participate in everything Cardinal. When they complete their internship, we want them to leave ready to tackle the world!
One thing we love most about our internship program is how many talented individuals we have HIRED from our internship programs. Our past interns say it best.
